It would be quite easy to implement jump into something useful for a example, Titan is using earthquake, jump in time to avoid most of the dmg.
This is really hard to implement in a MMO due to latency. WoW did this on a boss called Asaad in Vortex Pinnacle he would use a move called "static cling" he would start casting and electrocute the ground which would bind everyone that got hit by it. To avoid it you had to jump when his cast went off. However even though the WoW servers are in the US the game is responsive it even with a 100 or so MS response time this mechanic was very hard to pull off. On your screen you would see your character in the air when the move is going off but yet you would still get hit by it. To account for lag you actually had to jump extra early before he used the move to not get hit by it. They actually had an achievement for not getting hit by it.
Jumping to avoid stuff is fine in single player games works, doesn't work so well at all in mmos.
omgawd boob physics!
yes!
If they dont limit jump and change the grass im quitting this game and taking my linkshell with me.
Yeah, but now that it's in the game there's no avoiding it in at least one fight/battlefield, you know SE "hates being wasteful".
Lol, the "community" cried for jump an' there ain't no way they're gonna waste more time/money trying to "limit" it now that it's there.
I have to agree, all the jumping in the video was annoying as hell...
I have an idea, if anyone sees Rokien in game in 2.0, just jump repeatedly in front of him. I just may make a character on his server JUST to do this.
Rokien is on my server sadly... and I had to listen to him spew his nonsense in /say.. I literally held a gun to my head and comtemplated..then I realized its just Rokien.
