There are 2 benefits - firstly, they would have a player base who provides constructive criticism whereas the Americans are known for whining. Secondly, if it fails in Japan only, then the reputational damage is not as bad as a global release.

I forgot the the world consisted of just Japan and America. Thanks for the reminder.
