SE should only have released FFXIV in Japan

I feel that SE should have released FFXIV in Japan only like they did with the FFXIV release. There are 2 benefits - firstly, they would have a player base who provides constructive criticism whereas the Americans are known for whining. Secondly, if it fails in Japan only, then the reputational damage is not as bad as a global release.

I understand what you mean OP. However there are many Americans that are not whiners but hard working people willing to fix a problem. America is seen in a negative light(or full of fat lazy complainers) because of a minority. As much as I could argue against my people I would be lying if I said we are a bunch of grown babies waiting for a bottle.

SE probably should have released it only in Japan but that would have also hindered the outsiders(that wanted to) from seeing the evolution first hand. They could have released it and left it as an open beta since it's obvious nothing in this game is working at 100%.

edit: Even the graphics(the best thing in the game) needs to be fixed/tweaked. The shadow details look ugly unless you have it on the highest setting. Standard can leave you with black stripes on the body.

I don't think the reason why America is seen in a negative light is because people think they are lazy whiners.
