SONY GC CONFERENCE FFXIV: ARR Streaming MAYBE

No 2.0 at Sony.. watched it all.

Things like this make me angry, like why not? It will be a huge game for PS3. Like just put it out there. What's preventing them? Shyness?

and the PS3 Conference it's Sony's Decision on what to put on the Conference and what won't, Maybe it's something out of SE control ya know? at least it was VERY briefly mentioned in the Video Preview, but the Real Show will be Tomorrow through the 19th. You know at E3? They showed like 30 Screenshots and some information.

Well at Gamescom they will probably have more Screenshots ( an obvious Gameplay video), and a more detailed description on what FFXIV : ARR will be like.

I honestly wouldn't be to worried.

really makes no sense seeing the PS3 will be the major selling point to the reboot in Japan. Maybe they will throw it out at TGS but i highly doubt it at this point.

And to those of you whinning about my all summer long statement . I wouldnt mention it had SE not mentioned it themselves. While the summer still has many days left; the practical summer(time college/kids have off from school) is almost ended and we've only gotten 2 poor trailers and a website w/ no new info. So whats the deal. They need to be blasting people w/ new info week after week up until release if they want to keep the game hype for reboot. Its only common sense ;which isnt so common these days.

Edit: And they Promised us the Flood is coming at Gamescom, not "All Summer long" The way the Rep said it was more of a "get ready for what ahead". that's how I took it, when other people took it like " We Should be getting info like Every week".

I agree.. It shouldn't have been said.. but I honestly think the way it was said.. It wasn't really ment what the words said. As the saying goes.. its not what you say, it's how you say it.

But really, with Gamescom being tomorrow.. why is there even bickering and complaining when the Information is like around the cornor? /shrug

What else is "getting old" is how SE tells us stuff then does not follow through. It happens time and time again, I've learned my lesson a long time ago...they are no longer Square Soft and its just...meh.

I feel the same way you two do btw...I've been saying it since they announced how they are waiting until mid august to do this. Lots of people, myself included are now far too busy with school and preparing, orientation, all the funnnn paper work involved with going to university. I don't have time to sit here and hunt down the 2.0 stuff.

If its on the forums or lodestone, great. If not...too bad, school comes first and SE just picked a bad time. No one I know is interested in it now...well they are but they don't have time.

Yeah exactly. If they said on August 15th then no one would really be upset/disappointed. I'd just say what I been saying...they picking the worst time ever but oh well >.>

They originally promised "All Summer Long" with no mention of Gamescom. In fact they even chose, at the very last minute, to take away that trailer at E3 only to release it later with no flood in sight. There's nothing ambigious about their statements, though you could argue as to what "all summer" is. Not "the very end of it" though.

Because people are concerned, and rightly so. Something like this has never really been done with an MMO before, and in order for it to succeed their going to have to really raise awareness about the title instead of constantly appealing to a niche fanbase and leaving it at that. No matter what people argue about on these forums I think we can all agree that we want to see ARR succeed.

Overall? People are frustrated because SE is doing a terrible job marketing so far, and for all intents and purposes it doesn't really look like it'll change. Maybe it's too early to expect a full blowout, but the clock is ticking. I'm interested in seeing what's going to come out of Gamescom as well, but I'm really not expecting much. The company can say whatever they want, but given their history and what they've given us so far people have more than enough reason to skeptical.
