I once spent $30 to faction transfer on WoW, aside from monthly fees that is my biggest amount of wasted money on a game

It would have to be MMOs in general. Once I starting XI, I never bought other games again.

Until I built a decent PC, then those Steam sales would take my money.

I spent $74 on Final Fantasy 1 to get it overnighted to me the day after NA release. I didn't trust my local babbages to have it.

I don't begrudge them the money. The thing that made me leave was that feeling of used when the nerf bat flies. You think you are investing in a hobby and you end up feeling scammed.

I had to buy a PS2 with FFXI and a network adapter, a router, a cable modem, a wireless adapter and a internet plan along with my logitech wireless mouse and my wireless controller for my PS2, plus my subscription i think ended up costing me over 9k. thats definately the most i spent on a game.

Know if your asking me the most money i wasted it would be i bought duke nukem forever when it first came out for over $60, I would suggest only getting that game if someone gave you $40 to take it off of them, cause I would say $40 is fair compensation for the amount of time your wasting having to play it.

I would say between buying the collectors edition of ffxiv and building a new liquid cooled PC to play, as well as paying for two accounts I have spent somewhere over 3k. Obviously the bulk of that was spent on the PC. Still it was built to play this game!
