The quest itself really isn't that bad save for the second stone. That one sucked.

Problem comes when most people have never really explored that map to see that there's a way through there when it looks like a dead end. Me, I ported to the node and took a much shorter route.

We found that route just by looking around, me and my friend never explored these areas before this quest. Should have been fairly obvious that the shorter way was wrong as it has 60+ true sound, sight, and sound enemies all mixed together in extremely narrow hallways. The other zones that make you go through high level enemies usually only have 1 type of aggro and are really wide open.
Which I did learn about, but it took some trial and error. Most people don't know about that beforehand, and I'm willing to bet that immediately after patch not too many were relying on that image.

Prob right since I made that image in response to you and just in case anyone else was having trouble =P
But yeah it just takes some looking around, it would be easier if the map wasn't super confusing.
Edit: In response to the above poster, I posted this map earlier in the thread:
You only have to go by 2 aggro enemies this way, one you can outrun and isn't dangerous and another which you can get off your chocobo and walk by. This stone is the hardest to get to if you try to beat your head against a wall and go there by taking the shortest route.
The other stones are a lot easier to get to/figure out how to get to and since they aren't in stupid Black Shroud you have room to avoid things.
