Dafuq is everyone whining about? All they did was rip on the trailer, and I think it was spot on to be honest. If anything, them ripping on the trailer indicates that they were eager to see gameplay, meaning they actually do give a shit about the game.

Why do you play then, if they were on spot?

I don't get the anger here either. They stated whats going on and said the same thing about the cool yet gc trailer's that we have been.

Remove the Fanboy/girl sticks from your posteriors and have a good chuckle now and then.

Yes this, right here! You hit it right on the nail, and I think everyone is forgetting that they are reporting on it looking through the same lens that most people will look at it through, rather than the way we look at it as rabid fans. (We are rabid fans, because we have played this game through thick and thin. Admitting that is okay. Accept it. Have we accepted it yet? Okay!) Their reaction is the same reaction that anyone who looks at the trailer and hasn't been playing the game for two years already is going to have. They need to see more than this.

Anyway, I didn't intend to ignite a flame war, here. Sorry folks :/

So you are saying most people are narrow-minded?

No, they did not. Not a single word on whats going on, beside saying that FF-Marketing includes CGI. ( o rly? ). Unless Spirits Within is related to FFXIV now.

Until they release in game footage, they deserve any criticism they get. They can say they are fixing x/y/z, they can say they are showing us that they fixed it on a certain date, but to roll out the beginning of your campaign for 2.0 with two CGI trailers is just bad marketing.

Until we see that things look better, fixed, etc, with in game footage, then everything "planned" is bullshit. Until we get on the alpha/beta servers and play it ourselves, we can't say anything is fixed. Taking Square at their word is extremely bad policy because their history dictates otherwise.

You should continue to be objective and criticize this game until you log into 2.0 and the game is satisfactory.

You should continue to be objective and criticize this game until all of the new players log into 2.0 and enjoy a finished product and the game grows into an actual MMO.

Until then, you're feeding undeserved hype.

"They've Rewritten the game from the ground up with a new graphics engine, New back end data structure, New game play, New missions. They have really done a number on this and there re-releasing this as final fantasy 14 A realm reborn."

Save for the zone revamps that's whats going on with Arr in the broad strokes. They said nothing negative save for ripping on the gc only trailer. The same thing we have been doing.

And where is the Info? Thats just a "little" overview of knowledge we have since the announcment of 2.0.

New Graphic Engine? What is it like? Good? Bad?
New Game Play? What is it like? Good? Bad?
New Missions? Eh? What do i do? Collecting Apples?

"Well we dont have Info about the Game and we cant find something bad about 2.0, so lets just bash on the CGI and compare it to Spirits Within."

I couldnt care less actually about Stuff like that, but the Grade of stupidity in "Internet-TV-Shows" is getting ridiculous.

Smash and bash them all you like but their impression is the publics impression of XIV atm. Until SE release more material to the general mass to work with that's how they'll view XIV. No ones outside gonna spend time to research the new improvement unless it's fed to them and so far the teaser site doesn't do that.
