Removal of Surnames

Naahh...surnames are pretty sweet. It gives this game a +1 uniqueness point despite the inconvenience when /telling people.

Seems kinda silly to like something that is an invonvenience. Still think optional or removal is the best option. I still do not understand why people say it alows for multipules of the same name sure it does but its called being more original. If people were more original there would never be a problem with copies of the same name.

is FAR more of an inconvenience than a few extra characters for tells will ever be (which I don't consider an inconvenience at all, to be honest). Also, there is NOTHING about having a single name that is more original that our current system. I have no idea where you're pulling that from.

People don't seem to realize this... I guess they prefer Xxx______xxx. Yet you hear screams for immersion in other threads lol. Why complain when you can have the name you wanted FINALLY in a MMO. There is no need for a toggle option either so just leave it be. If you care so much about sending tells then suggest a /sea function and stop complaining about one of the few good things this game has...

If people were more creative with there names making names would be alot easier. People who do Xxx_____xxX . Seems people want to see a million people with the name cloud because is original and creative.

I like surnames but feel like they shouldn't be mandatory.

People can be pretty creative with names. The trouble is when there are thousands of other people out there, one or two are bound to be just as creative, and lo and behold, all those creative names are still taken.

And then there are those who don't want to be creative, they just want the name they want.

With surnames, you can get real creative, you can be generic, or you can just get something at least close to the name you wanted.

If 100 people want the name Cloud, it doesn't matter to me. I honestly don't understand why it bothers anyone else.
