ARR: Can PC players play on PS3 with this account?

it kinda makes sense because you kinda have to do the same with netflix i have net flix on 3 units ps3 3ds and wii and i had to register them all with netflix to be able to use the software for each unit

That's an authorization issue, sure, but Netflix doesn't charge you any extra for it.

I'm sure you can play on PS3 with the same account. But you need the PS3 client first.

I wish it weren't the case, but what they've stated in the past is you will have to purchase and enter PS3 registration codes to be able to do it. Down the road that can probably be had for pretty cheap, but to do it at launch will be the full purchase of another copy of the game. And presumably future expansions, too.

Before anyone slams me, I do NOT think this is a good idea idea and I wish it were different. I can hope they'll reconsider their stance on the issue but I'm not going to hold my breath.

even if it is an authorization issue what is se going to do say here download the ps3 version for free. you're going to have to buy the game if you want to play it on ps3 so i can see the need for registration of it to link the ps3's mac address to you account or you'll get security issues. and honestly I haven't seen one person be able to download the game and give it to someone else if it's downloadable for psn to someone else if they don't have the correct login information.

besides what's the big deal about having to register the game to your account... it takes a whole 5 minutes to do it. it's not like it's going to take 5 hours... do it while you're installing the game onto the hard drive. simple as that. I register all my se games I buy anyway because of my se account. *shrugs*

if having a centralized account is anything to go on then, yes you can. the Square Enix account management works in many ways like a cut down PoL.

you would still have to pay for the game disc though....that is unless you have a CFW PS3, then you could just torrent the game and install it to the PS3's HDD, then sign into your current account. thats 40 bucks in your pocket for the subcription.

Yeah, no. I wouldn't count on being able to play FF14 on a PS3 with custom firmware. It depends on how thoroughly SE will check your console when connecting, but it is for example not possible (as far as I know) to play FF11 on a modchipped PS2.

you won't be able to do that they've already said you had to register the ps3 version and link it to your account. now if they have a friend code you can give them the disc and the friend code but not both codes

Well i know you could play XI on a SoftModed Xbox no problems, as for the PS2 i wouldn't know my SCPH10001 Fattie died within a year of Socom.

Feel free to google and see that lot of people got banned. And Sony is proceeding the same way as Microsoft, using ban waves. So console can get flagged now and be banned later.

The same way some people have been playing online with modded X360 just fine, while lot got banned.

But unlike the 360, i don't have to jump through hoops to unban my PS3 and i have no doubt they'll get me eventually.
