I have an interesting idea for a ring but I can't draw, so~

I thought I'd just share and maybe someone will be motivated enough to do so!

Ring Name: Morning Dew

Ring Stats:

Required level - 35
Effect - Increases effectiveness of potions on wearer

Design:

Atop a hoop would rest a floral design, modeled after a lily. Large, pink petals that fade to white, the center adorned with an earthy green gem. From the base of the flower (Beneath the petals) would stem two, green vines. The left would twirl and wrap around the ring's hoop, the right would raise and bend, forming an 'S' shape, the top of which would nestle beneath and support one of the petals. I hope all of that makes sense!

A certain patch of forest in Gridania is home to a camp of Roseling mobs. Whenever defeating one, each potential spawn has a small chance to pop an oddly colored version, perhaps with a different shade of petals. It's stats and name would be identical to the other flowers, but with one unique property; If a player uses an 'Elixir' on the oddly colored mob, it forces the spawn of a Roseling NM that, when defeated, has a chance to drop the Morning Dew

Well, hope some of that sounded interesting! Just felt like burning some time

Exactly.
If the item is really powerful, make it a reward for a difficult fight or quest, or anything. Random success is just lazy, and FFXIV is already guilty of too much RNG.

Well that's just the problem. These fights and quests take time to develop, and unless they use RNG as a timesink for certain things, people will just whisk by it and demand more content far too early. That will probably change as time goes on, and the content available overreaches the's why I like the company system. You get special funds to purchase special items. The only problem is the lack of variety in how to get these funds at the moment.

Wouldn't this piece just be situational gear? At least that's how I see it. And since we have no gear changes which ring would you be replacing to make use of it?
