There's a way to maintain balance with a Magitek Armor. Of course it needs to be stronger that you basic choboco (Although some chocobos were pretty overpowered, damn choco-meteor), but if you can fight with your chocobo side by side, you have to ride your magitek armor.

So you're not playing your class, and not fighting with your mount. That way, even DoL/DoH could solo several quests or missions.

Because the Magitek mount is the same one as the FF6 Magitek Armor, it will be the best mount/armor ever.
With or without combat ability. I swear, once I get my hands on it, my chocobo and gobbue are goners.

That said, if it were to have actual combat abilities -- a purpose other than simply walking around like the goobbue -- this mount/armor would so epic that it would become the best content of FFXIV for years to come.

In short, we need Magitek Armors designed after FF6 one's and that can be used in fights.

It may be something similar to how you can upgrade your Chocobo with differend Barding etc...except with Missiles and Sharks with Lasers on their heads etc...It will cost seals or w/e they come out with in 2.0

I'd like two variations. The ones you can ride in the open world as mounts, and the ones you get to use for boss encounters involving vehicles. I would love at least one boss encounter someday that involves magitek armor and other vehicles. >.>
