Actually, A Realm Reborn came out of the result of the worst scores and reviews by both fans and critics alike upon initial release. An old formula designed and inspired by an Everquest model of grinding for hours and hours, leaving no time for actual living your real life. WoW was fun and 11 million ppl prove that. I like having fun in my games, and if the standard is fun then that's fine with me cuz its better than what we had before.

Obviously, I'm complaining about the first trailer so why would I mean to ask that? Think before you comment. Your version of talking about the game is complaining about the community talking about the game.

Im not saying SE should work in a bubble, they can see whats available out here. But simply pandering to the majority or lowest common denominator will not make their game a success. They need to be on the cutting edge. They need to define that edge with their own concepts and twists on game mechanics.
I'm actually getting a bit of coherence from you here. You are right in saying that they need to make their own decisions and be on the cutting edge. And yes, there may be some silly comments and suggestions all over the place. But don't forget we are talking about SE's record of completely ignoring its community before, and they are just now catching up with other companies in communicating directly with its community. This is a strategy that will only benefit them as a company and keep the game successful. I trust SE's judgement for the most part, but they aren't pandering to the lowest common denominator because we are THE voice of their playerbase right now, don't degrade this forum. It is why this forum exists.

You just put yourself into the lowest common denominator with that statement.
