No, the quote from Rukkirii said "incomplete" achievements will not be displayed (i.e. unearned). So if you didn't earn a discontinued achievement before A Realm Reborn launches, it will not be displayed in the UI as unfinished or missed. And achievement points, rewards, and titles earned will be carried over.

For all the achievements that are currently staying in game: Will the tally's carry over to 2.0?

Example:
I have over 65,000 monsters defeated, so I received the achievement for To Crush your Enemies VI Defeat 50000 enemies. 10 Title: The Exterminator, however I have not yet hit the 100,000 mark and I don't think I will before 2.0. Will my 65,000 be saved or will I have to at relaunch at 50,000.

I am using this Achievement as an example but the idea works for other as well.

I'm assuming so -- however since we learned that Yoshida isn't in favor of overworld grinding or non-quest based progression. I'm guessing the number will be significantly lower. You'd be surprised how quick you can get that max achievement by party grinding rather than just doing dungeons which you ignore 99% of monsters anyway.

/agree. I am going to start feeling slightly stressed out. But push to get what I want accomplished none the less.
