Wow...

Okay so I live on the same server as the Boogie Man known as BG. Here's how horrible they are:

When I was out in Humblehearth and Treespeak working on my luminary and Adiyah Tulika was doing the same thing, everytime we'd pass eachother they'd cheer me on. (Adiyah doesn't know me)

When leves were the in thing for exping, I did several with folks like Arc and 22, never once were they rude or arrogant.

When I was out soloing keystones off Wolves in Turning Leaf, Arc and Tachi saw me and invited me to their group so we could all get them faster.

Tachi made the BG parser public...while I don't personally use it, it has become one of the most used tools for players looking to push their skills.

Back when Darkhold was the in thing, my first full clear was with Tachi and his old ls. Alevia was the other CNJ in the party on my first Iffy kill...they never treated me like a noob, nor did they make me feel like they were compensating for me.

Keep in mind, I'm not considered an 'Elite' player on my server. I'm a solid steady-eddie who sure, can hold my own as WHM and am learning to be a fairly consistant Bard, but I'm not anything you'd write your Mamma about. Never once, have I felt like they were mean, or arrogant or had an experience wherein I saw them just go out of their way to grief or bully someone else. Not only that, I've actually seen them help people in need.

Now don't get me wrong... I HAVE seen people grief them. I HAVE seen people start wars with them they cannot win. But in general, you don't poke sleeping tigers with sticks. And I am sure that when it comes to BG vs. the other Elite LS's on the server, it IS a different game. But I expect competitive people to be competitive.

As to the forums, bored people are bored. There is really no way in game atm for all the competitive LS's to try to out-do each other in game. So, we see bored people on the forums jabbing back and forth...occasionally, people try to be funny and fail miserably. And yes, sometimes, things get out of hand...that said, the actual IN-game BG has been as pleasant overall on the server. So yeah, they are recruiting...and hopefully they find who they are looking for...but they are not the jerks you make them out to be.

I only even posted because Durandal is my home, and I get tired when people slight the entire server due to mis-conceptions about ONE LS.
