People who have gone through the motions of different aspects of several MMOs for many years and have already decided what they hate and like? Who else would be better to filter out/improve bad ideas before they're released. Hell, some of the stuff that's been done in FFXIV and received bad reviews has already been done before and received bad reviews. No AH for example... If they had an experienced MMO player on their team and say, "yeah you know, we're thinking about not adding an auction house." That would have solved one catastrophe before it even happened...

Yeah... Because a Si/Fi MMO with guns that exclusively appealed to people who love Star Wars. I underlined the fail for you.

What insult? I was simply trying to insinuate that a Si/fi MMO, with guns, and also targeted a set audience with in an audience was destined for failure.

I have no idea what you took from what I wrote as anything being an insult, I mean I think my English is pretty decent...

Could of said that instead of using vague language

The history of the history of MMORPGs can be traced back to Mazewar(1974) However the phrase was coined in 1997 with Ultima Online, and I was guessing by a couple aspects of your posts that 1997 may be pretty close to your birth date.

Because they were aware of his MMO experience. Perhaps there are other reasons he was hired besides that, but I believe SE knows more on who is the right crew for what more than you do, even if they get bad eggs here and there.
Dragon Quest Monsters... isn't a MMO... what the heck??? Even if Yoshida had worked on a MMO or two in the past, which as far as I know I'm pretty sure he hasn't, there would still be people in this world who play MMOs every day through whom he would be able to benefit with through correspondence.

Well first off, nothing I mentioned in my OP has been disproved by anything anyone's posted... The only two arguments that have been used against me are "Yoshi-p played DAoC." Which I already acknowledged on page one before anyone even brought it up, and the argument that he worked on the "Dragon Quest Monster MMO" which doesn't even exist... I think you're greatly over stating your side of the argument just because this has turned into a flame war, regardless of what really happened. Commonsense is a matter of opinion, and in addition to being called commonsense, it's not so common. Even though almost everyone thinks they have it.

I don't need attention from angry boy's on the internet, I get enough of that from the ladies in RL. ZIiiiiiiing, just kidding. Seriously though, I think it would be a really good idea to have veteran MMO players on staff for correspondence, I have no clue why so many people are deeply offended by the concept. It's not like taking MMO veterans opinions into careful consideration would lead to anything bad... Yoshi-p would still be the one calling all the shots, but I guess that's what people do on forums; rage out over nothing. I realize they won't ever do what I've suggest in OP, but if anything else I hope in the future they do strengthen their correspondence with players and potential players alike, but also realize whom they are getting correspondence from in the first place.

Getting opinions from noobs has it's place because noobs have their place in the game. The problem is no ones a noob for ever, and end game content is what keeps people subscribing. A large portion of the people here don't have the experience that is needed to provide useful information about quality high end content.

According to the Wiki, buddy, it says "First Person Shooter". You sure this an MMORPG?

I'm sorry your reading comprehension is terrible, so let me say it again. Yoshida's previous works were with the Dragon Quest Monsters series before going into the MMO business. I said in no way he has worked on MMO's before. FFXIV is his very first try at the MMO field, and so far, he is succeeding.

Look back at your PLD/DRG thread, did you even bother to see what state they are in? Nope, you decided to come on the forums and complain about two jobs that got their fix and used in many party situations. Even admitted yourself you were wrong. You don't check your sources before posting and it only makes you look bad.

Hmm, ladies, okay then. Let me ask, how do you expect the developers, this deep into the stage, and positions decided by higher ups and not fanboys, to respond to a thread like this? It sounds like an awful lot like an attention seeking tool to me you are pulling off here.

no SWTOR failed because the only thing making a sound at EA was the coins clinking together in there CEO's Head, the game was utter shit at launch it was so nuasiating it was the first time an MMO made me puke...it was that bad.

EVE Online is a very successful SCiFI-MMO.

A Designer. Production. The Creative Director.

The AH argument is a bit silly, because it was clear they were going forwards with a different approach to buying and selling. It obviously didn't work, likely because we saw a system that wasn't fully realized. I'd be curious to see what the original pitch was, as it could've been something very interesting.
