Why is the game not OUT there in the media/mmo sites?? Devs/Yoshi gotta get on this!

The reason nobody cares is because:

Yoshi does not tell anyone what the game will be like. When he gets questions about what's great about the game, he will answer "it's a secret for now tee hee hee!" or "it's going to be VERY different, look forward to how different it will be!" and vague crap like that. It's hard to get people hyped for it with statements like that, and it's really the communities on those gaming websites which foster the demand for coverage, and if there's no demand, don't expect the websites to cover any news unless they get paid/bribed to.

When Gamescon comes around, I expect there will be more coverage on the topic, but it's hard to get the gaming community proactive in collating and collecting information when they are given nothing to care about.

I don't get why people seem to think that SE should be doing a media blitz 5 to 6 months before the game even launches. Teasers are all they should be doing at this stage. Most companies save the heavy promo a month or two before release, otherwise people just get inured to all the hype and lose interest. SE is no different.

There will be, Gamescom is known for MMO related games, and the Flood comes in August (17th-18th) So put on your Armored Vest Information will be pouring over top of you o.o. The RPG Interview came out of No where.. Its a sign that they are about to not hold anything back.

I seen the teaser trailer on almost every big name MMO site when it came off, and there was two recent interviews. Give it time. Until they show Gameplay there isn't really much people can be interested about.

For the love of god, SE doesn't want to scare of potential subscribers until 1.0 is down forever. I would imagine they will start marketing about 1-2 months after WoW expansion comes out to reduce competition for advertisement on websites, save money, and not to associate the v2.0 with v1.0.

Instead more along the lines of some awesome dyamic game play and cut scenes along with some game culture, mounts, character creation all everything we are looking forward to. Also maybe some PVP!

I have seen more player made movies using cut scenes, which to me inspire me to play than I have any piece of SE Advertisement.

I am really hoping to see them step it up this round.

Sadly this game isn't WoW where it is cool to play that game now I guess? Advertising is required of course, no argument from me but doing it right now? Maybe not the best idea, although the game has changed for better IMO I think they should wait until server shutdown for beta.
