    Q: When will Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 launch? <---- PC or PS3?

    Q: When will Final Fantasy XIV 2.0 launch?
    A: I expect the first Closed Beta for the Japan and International servers to be held end September or early October, entering Closed Beta 2 this winter and Open Beta in January next year. We will be talking to Shanda Games about the China server, with features such as PvP, blocking 3rd party programs and localization, hence the Chian server will launch later.
    Are you talking about PC or PS3 Yoshida? A lot of people seem to be confused about this and would like some Clarification on what the Answer resembled PS3 or PC and If your talking about the PS3 Version you think you can give a rough Estimate on when PC Version of the Beta will Commence.

    I'd be amazed if you got a response to this anytime soon. From my understanding PC version would launch a month or so before the PS3 version and i expected PS3 version to be in January with our 1.0 servers shutting down right before closed beta which starts early October.

    This is all just guessing but in the unfortunate event that 2.0 gets bad reviews/feedback are they leaving a door open for possible patches or even pushed back release to keep working on it?

    It'll be either PC or both depending on whether they release both at the same time or not. They aren't going to announce the later of two dates as a launch date.
