I definitely didn't like the voice on this trailer. Maybe it sounds cool to the untrained Japanese ear but to me it just some guy trying too hard to sound deep and interesting. maybe a woman would have done a better job, usually female voices mixed with visuals of destruction and awe tend to sound more interesting and hopeful.

The voice is that of the male character who stars in FFXIV Opening Movie and on the box/manual/etc (k someone already stated this). I think it's perfectly fine. I'm not sure what you people dislike about it. If you really dislike it that much go make your own fan teaser.
