New coliseum gear too lewd

The gear says coliseum on it, that's pretty much equivalent to it being called "Show off" or "Flashy" Subligar/Loincloth etc, it does what the name implies. (Cheek-less jeans are cheek-less)

The stats are mediocre at best and are not considered elite by any standard so there is no reason to wear it other than wanting to wear it. (I find it humorous that since the gear covers little skin it comes with pretty low defense)

Male version is just as trashy. <-- Gender Equality at its finest.

Other available equipment other than Coatee sets are almost identical for both genders in game and therefore women are not forced into wearing Mythril thongs to play the game effectively. (which is tragic...)


All women should make a stand and start posting high def images of themselves posing in coliseum gear!

Personally, I think that gear looks cheap and stupid, and I really, really hope this isn't going to be the future direction of their gear design. I don't know about you guys, but for me the way the gear looks on my character is quite important, and having to dress like that would be a huge turn off for me. Yes I know no one is forcing us to wear something like that, but I like to wear the best pieces I'm able to get, and if those pieces would be designed to look "sexy" like this coliseum gear, I would be extremely disappointed. Luckily these pieces aren't very good, but I'm a bit worried about the direction we're going to. I don't want this game to be another Tera.

This is, again, my personal opinion and I know some people actually find the gear good looking and want to wear something like that.

If this was some super-stat armor that would be replacing AF gear or something, I would be complaining loudly. If it was sexist by only being skimpy on females, I would also be complaining loudly. However, neither of those are the case, so I don't see a problem here.

Besides, this is just fun "optional" armor and the majority of armor is nowhere near as revealing. I really like how they made it Coliseum gear so it makes more sense. It's like . . . the Eorzean equivalent of professional wrestling costumes, or something. xD

Sexy armor for play, not for battle.
There is nothing more irritating than a thong with +50 defense in comparison with plate armor with just +10. That makes no sense, it's just a cheap way to sell sex to the players. Takes away from a classy aesthetic when you have lewd asses and breasts bouncing thin metal and leather flourishes across their forms in a serious battle to save the world.

When I saw it... I want it.. not that I would wear it in town.. around many ppl.
still I like it for a "special" duo outfit with a close "friend" lol
and for use in mix and match. though I do agree with others that posted. it shouldnt be great stuff or take the place of real armor. I think it should have been event clothes set with little protection.
I'm 50 weaver and 45 leather atm because i like clothes and mixing them =^,^=

And before you think I'm not serious, I assure you I am. How often do you see men offended by other men in skimpy suits? Never.
Now see how often we women get offended by such things, even in video games? Very often, and for good reason. Just look at "Tropes vs. Women" on Kickstarter. She got funded 158k $ because this is a real world problem that needs to stop.
