You are kidding right? These are no more revealing then the summer bikinis. Did you happen to make a thread last year about those too?
There is nothing wrong with them and they are certainly not objectifying. No one is being FORCED to wear them. They do not give you a label or restrict you. They do not tell you you are not equal or that you are lesser because you happen have breasts. The mens version is the same as the womens (though there are small decorative differences)
If anything the only problem is they don't come in multiple colours.
Totally objectifies women indeed.
Waitaminute...
It's skimpy on guys too~
Doing Reinhart proud and wearing my subligar~
I can't tell if that was a troll attempt or not... But really? Fussing over that gear? I'm sorta surprised that SE would release this kind of stuff but they did promise some sexy-looking gear. And from what I can discern it's not even real strong anyway so people will only use it to parade around in most likely. I'm betting they did this to gauge the community's reaction on the design. Is it too sexy? Is it too offensive? Depending on how the community (as a whole) responds to it will probably decide if we'll see more of it, or if it'll be a one-time deal thing.
Anyway, if it was a real complaint... Threatening to quit over it won't make them remove the gear or change one aspect of it. People fussed for bikini gear, fussed for sexy armor. This was SE's response. Much as I like the whole sex appeal aspect it has I would only use it for awhile then probably store if away opting for something more stronger/better suited.
EDIT: I'm going to respond to another post I saw mentioning the yukatas that are coming next month. I'm a little disappointed in how short it is, maybe next year we'll get actual longer yukatas or they'll be craftable. At least SE's trying~

Hyrist, please don't lump her with all americans... I'm american and don't care I think that it's more historically acurate since for gladiators wore little to nothing in fights anyway*staring at picture*
Boooobiii- Oh! I'm sorry, are you saying something?
Ok, to address this seriously. The gear is irrelevant. And honestly, where were you for the swimware?
This isn't as horrible as you say it was. I'm going to have to take a gander and guess that you're American, given how much you're attacking any sense of sexuality in a game.
And note: You're attacking the female version, yet where was your protest to the men in subligar and harness exposing most of their skin?
Seriously, let people have their fun and stop being so touchy on the subject of exposed skin. It's not as if the best gear in the game looks like this.
I have a secret to tell. From my electrical well. It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells. So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly. My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e. My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest- TMBG Birdhouse in your Soul
A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!
At least it doesn't show camel toe.
The bulge on my cotton shepherd's slops make it look like my character has eternal wood. And note: You're attacking the female version, yet where was your protest to the men in subligar and harness exposing most of their skin?

Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh
Long as it's not applicable for serious battle, I'm okay with it.
People can have their trashy whore gear as long as it doesn't somehow protect you more than steel plate armor.
Oh, and please don't hide behind the "historically accurate" veil. We all know why this armor looks the way it does, and it's not for historical accuracy in a fantasy game.

Why not? I'm American.
You might not notice it, but we're perhaps the most uptight nation out there. First step in solving a problem...
