Now if the OP was "this game sucks. scrap it. i hate it. wow is better anyway. start over." that would be trolling. Like I previously mentioned, maybe the explanation is lacking but that doesn't make someone a troll. Just bad at explaining. Why not ask them to elaborate instead of throwing out the word troll? Ask instead "well what sort of ideas do you have to further the game if they halt the development of the current FFXIV?"

That Is asking him to elaborate. He stated, "star ffxiv from scratch". I have (and others have to) asked him to elebaorate. to input what HIS changes would be. He has given nothing.

From this, time and time again, many (inc myself) have come to the conclusion he is trolling. He is willing to display his disatisfation (which is fine, I am not desputing that at all), but not giving anything to grow on that. He has yet to display any vision or advancement on his demands. Simple, he demands "this be done, that isnt right". He refuses to listen to different standpoints on his own topics (even those that support him, tell me, how many times has he shown you favor in you defending him) He knows that what he says will create discomfort, but he says it regardless.

Tbh, I personaly like you. throughout your threads you have given a cohearent and understandanding argument. This is something which is very needed on these threads. Thankyou for giving honest feedback . However, you are in the minority (i am saddened to say). You say Grimm has difficulty expressing himself, why is that so? My personal opinions on this, is that he gets a bug in his bonnet, shouts, then has no idea what to do next. From this, he continues his rants, refusing to back down from his original point (which was lielkly made from a slight upset ingame)

I don't think FFXIV suck's and what I meant behind the title and OP was,

Right now SE's biggest problem is the player base. Everyone complain left and right about the most minor details for example NO BELLS! when there are bigger fish to fry. if they shut the servers down for a bit and work on the Zones, Battle, Classes, Endgame. and re-release it as a digital download it saves time for new players to have to update to jump right into the content considering how bad the FFXIV updater is for some people. not to mention the stress from players wanting the smallest dumbest things won't be there allowing them to work at a faster pace with a clear head. I did not mean stop FFXIV completely I meant stop FFXIV that the players are trying to make with small details that should be added way later. allowing original owners to download a digital VER would be a nice bonus as well because it shows they thought of the founders of the game. Meaning if we move we can download it anytime with no trouble with out needing to sit through the older updates first.

The ban was the reason I could not reply. as for my other threads I have not trolled and have explained myself the best I can.

EDIT: What people are doing now is logging in doing leves logging out and mass complaining about things that should come last and not first. The problem is SE seem's like they don't know what to do first because of it.

You really shouldn't worry about it. The devs aren't as dumb as you're accusing them of being. They aren't just going to do everything people tell them to. Lol. Thanks. That's really nice of you to say.
I'm basing how I know he has difficulty explaining on the fact that I know him in real life. Lol. (Real well in fact, fiance). So I know for a fact he's not trolling and is usually very open to discussing. Just has difficulty explaining himself. Although I try to be unbiased here while posting and have told him to apologize for his OP that lacked explanation. But he's just as stubborn as he is lacking at explaining things.

On a side note, the forum has become this...mass fight. Where everyone name calls each other rather than try and discuss and debate. Sadly, I don't think any forum exists anymore that doesn't have name calling. It's the ugly side to forums. Although sometimes, rarely, (and it becomes like a jewel you just want to hold onto) amazing threads happen where people discuss productively. So I really appreciate your replies to what I've said without resorting to calling me names. The fact that you calmly give your opinion and why you think that way just shows that you're one of the few people here that belong to the minority group as well.

I'm surprised you haven't yet. I got to max level in a little over 2 weeks and it couldn't even keep my attention for the whole free month.

I do enjoy it it's not my usual cup of tea that's for sure. But it has kept me busy and it's pretty fun. One thing that ruin's it for me though is the lvl 50\s ruining the rift events by one shooting all the mobs. I would be back on FFXI but I was reading about people piggy backing to lvl cap and it made me sick. I'm honestly hoping SE makes FFXIV the awesome game we all wanted to enjoy from the start.

Just stop. start over with the engine you have now mobs, races everything. Fix the landscapes fix the classes fix everything, Re-release it with PS3 and Digital DL for PC and everyone who paid for XIV originally gets it free on digital download off of a SE hosted download hub

I agree, altho it is a two sided coin. SE listen too much to players demands, players demand FAR too much. Tbh, i wouldnt care if tetra was in ffxiv, I wouldnt care if red mage was not implemented. However, I imagine a number readers would disagree. My point is, with such a pool of views, it is implossible for SE to cater for everyone.

This being said, I think they should at least shoot for "the feel of the room" so to speak. Deplomacy is, at the end of the day, the popular vote.

I know you have further points from this (all those who did not read above, please do). The one thing I cannot stress enough is that when SE closed servers due to the earthquake, there was an uproar. Now both you and I can agree, an earthquake is a VERY legitimate reason to close down servers. To impliment that "due ot reworking" would kill the game out right. I think even the most hardest of FF fans would struggle to remain loyal at this.

I cannot agree more with this. I find it disrespectful that people are asking, as you say "we want jump", or "why can i not do XYZ, this should SOOOO be in the next patch or im leaving for something else". I personally think the game needs to get the basics to the ground before they can expand on the more trivial aspects of the game. In the future, amybe these points would be more valid. Right now, SE have a game to revise.

This coulld lead to some very negative things. 1) pirate copies (i dont know how SE confirm real copies but then im no programmer either).
2) Elitisism. I cannot stress this enough, SE have made great leaps in crossing out this. The designs of the game have always given room for player preference. Although this is simply a way to allow ppl who have got the game to download it again, I also imagine it could be a way of increasing ppls e-peen. I can see it in a years time "look, I downloaded this after i got the disc X months before ps3 release, look at my pics and codes"

On a finish, i dont think a complete restart would be a good idea. I think that would kill the game, and se completely. Imagine if they said "ok, closing game, give about 5-6 years. If you want, ffxi is there if you fancy the retro look". In my opinion, worst business move ever lol

Why do you have to spend your time playing an MMO? Why not play some single player RPGs or something? Or try a completely different MMO like a F2P? Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine can actually be pretty fun. DDO and LotRO are both fun as well.


P.S. As to the OP... as I said, the best thing is to ignore them and not let them bother you. But barring that route, you could accomplish the same thing that you want by shutting down the official forums, rather than the game.

Pirated copies are no biggie for MMO's you still need to have a CODE to copy to your account so even if you download it off of a pirating site you still need that code you can only get from buying the game. I understand having servers closed would have a bad backlash. I just feel if they keep them open for too much longer with mini updates that do nothing the player base will get worse than if the server's close. A lot of us were spoiled with the FFXI NA\EU release. I'm just in short hoping SE is focused on the thing's we NEED now. not the things we WANT now.
