I consider that a promising start to a game we can customize a bit more than we can today.

I'm complaining that they're focusing too much on weapons and not enough on the other slots. Wouldn't you rather have Ifrit drop some body armor or an att+ belt, or Skirmish drop items like an Uldahn teleport ring with 30 charges?

Take a look at this page and tell me that at least three lvl 50 weapons don't have stats that are near-identical:
