I hope not. I want to look forward to getting my character back after the beta phase.

I don't know how much I want to play without my actual character though... I'll definitely try all the new starting quests and stuff but I'd like to experience those when the new classes come out (yeah right).
I might just use that time to take a good break.
They will not let us without our char during 6 month, for sure. Too many people could not come back after 6 month.
If alpha start in october, we will get ou char back in november.
Well, I have all DoM/DoW classes at 50, so I'm excited to get to experience leveling in new zones. I refuse to touch crafting though, because that's for my main guy.
My plan was to get everything to 50 before 2.0, but I might leave Armorer for last so I can do that with the new system and see how it goes. And if the starter quests end up having achievements (they probably will) then I'd rather do them on my main character.
Why not just finish everything, who knows if they'll add a new craft anyway.
Well, you can still probably do those on your main guy, they'd just be super easy.
I don't think they would do that by 2.0 launch though? I do hope they add another DoL though, that Shepard would be interesting.
I'll keep doing what I'm doing. I like to level my crafts in big bursts (save up lots of rested and then burn 30-40 leves a day or more).
i'd definitely advise knocking out as many crafts as possible now, just because there are appears to be a 'material boom' if you will, due to the heavy harvesting/relic weapon activity. not to say it won't be just as easy when 2.0 starts, but it's really easy now and cheap. this is coming from someone who hated crafting.

Let me make an assumption here.
The purpose of beta-testing is finding out bugs, errors, exploits and stress-testing.
So it would make sense if they want us to test everything out from the very beginning. They also said that they do not want us to continue updating our characters otherwise the transfer into the 2.0 system would be impossible.
So i'm going to guess we're going to have to make new characters for the beta, if we make it into the beta.
