    The new system is much better. Leves as they are now are specifically catering to people who cannot play often and under the old system they would be missing out on leves, whereas in the current system they will end up accruing more leves than they will likely be able to use up. Not everyone wishes to level a crafting class so segregated leve allowances are wasted on them. Likewise, most people leveling up crafting now are taking advantage of leves and it would hurt their progress if they had less.
