Playing with Chinese?

Just wondering if i could get a response to see if we can actually play with chinese ppl in FFXIV 2.0? Cause i know alot of games that i play online that went over to china but the Chinese always had to play on there own dedicated servers cause there was some kinda law or something that didn't allow Chinese ppl to play with other ppl around the world. So anyone know if we will be able to play with the Chinese or no? I for one always welcome new ppl from different regions its one of the reasons i absolutely love Final Fantasy that they let everyone play together.

By law and regulations they have to have their own servers and game version. There's a chance if SE doesn't completely segregate servers they will be able to join on other servers, but the way MMOs have to be handled there..probably not.

Yes you can. Definitely possible. Play with me. Ni hao ma. Joke aside, while i was in china, I wasn't able to connect through ffxiv directly. They have the ports blocked over there so no Chinese players for you. Japanese players not good enough for diversity?

Im pretty sure that china is famous for not letting anyone there, play on same servers with the rest of the world.

Exactly. I think SE should ask them if there asian and female or male to. if there female, and asian they automatically get put on my server XD.

There is zero chance NA/EU will be playing with Chinese players. The only way that game will be released is with dedicated servers for China.

I remember this was something that was done in Eve. The Chinese were given their own servers for a couple reasons:

1. By law MMO servers must be operated by Chinese companies.
2. Servers must comply with the Chinese internet usage policy, which sets time limits, ect on the gamer.
