There are legacy players that haven't made it to lvl 30 yet?

You heard it too, didn't you? the voice... of the wind....

You mean easier to NOT tell him he could possibly lose his entire account due to this? Sure it may not happen, but posting this on the public SE forum, someone with the power might see it, might investigate, and bad things might happen. Again, will they? Who knows. It however still could result in the worst case scenario, losing his account.
I work for a company that deals with gamers and their accounts and such, many people break the ToU and such for this company all the time, and then go ballistic when we can't and won't unban them.
I still think OP knows how to read the ToS. Rules are made to be bent and broken, otherwise isnt fun.

Nobody is getting banned or openly 'broke' any rules (look at how i stated people on balmung helped the OP?), i just offered doesn't mean i did it. Though while obviously people knows what happens, accounts are reviewed on case per case basis and i am sure as hell devs or reps aren't half retarded enough to ban things like this while things like RMT still run rampant.

Yea, I dont even recognize the people who cam into this thread and shat all over everything. Its like they saw something they could muck up and got all giddy with epeen excitement.

the ToS is to protect players and SE from legal action. the ToS also clearly states we are not allowed to reverse engineer anything.
This includes doing any testing to figure out how stats effect what. As this is technically reverse engineering. we aren't making profit on it, sure. but it is still technically against the ToS.
this is like a restaurant saying they reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. just because they can kick you out at anytime does not mean they will.
------------
That being said it is a bit irresponsible to not check to see if your PC can run the game first. there is a benchmark available online. i would encourage the OP to check for benchmarks before making purchases in the future, especially when buying new games.
Good afternoon folks!
First off, reaching out for help is not a bad thing, but sharing account information can be very dangerous and the Terms of Service does state that sharing account information is not allowed, which is why one should be very careful if they go down that route.
Not only does it break the rules, but you can possible have your accounts compromised. No doubt, some friendly/honest folks helped out our friend, but it was a VERY big risk that was taken. Once you give over your information, you sign away your items, your gil and, possibly, your account. I have seen "best friends", "spouses", "brothers/sisters" and even parents do some nasty things to other players' accounts; taking all the gear then shouting racial slurs or using third party programs are just a few examples. You take a very big risk each and every time you share account information and accounts are lost daily.
I am glad that this event did not turn out poorly and I will be closing this thread as the issue is resolved.
Thank you for your understanding.
