What happens if I fail a hairstyle 'synth' on you o.o?

The system should work as the Repair one does. You would have a mannequin with a wig to train yourself on and gain levels, or even craft wigs - just as blacksmith have their anvil -, and making a hairstyle to somebody would be a one-click action.

I don't think it's been mentioned a lot yet but I'd also like to see some fancy curls
Something lovely like this or maybe tighter and larger locks up in pigtails or ponytails like a cute anime character may wear.

It'd be interesting if for barber you could earn key items for the barber to unlock special hair styles outside of what is normally available. Like perhaps ones from popular FF series characters, holiday themed styles, fancier looks, monster themed looks, etc.

Might be something fun to go out and collect, quest for, farm for drops, achievement rewards or lesser prizes for battles rather than just throwing weapons at us left and right.

Funny how just a couple of weeks ago I thought of making a thread like this lol.

Anyway, to the point! I was going to suggest curly hair. My hair is naturally curly lol. It's the type of hair people pay for in a real salon. Don't get me wrong I don't hate straight hair by any means lol. But the option to have curly hair would be nice.

And if I remember right there was supposed to be a salon type of thing in the game to begin with. The only reason I remember this is because I was excited about not getting stuck with 1 type of hair style lol.

The same thing that happens with every failed synth: It blows up, and you lose all materials. This is most easily explained by their hair catching fire from attempting to do a hair style you're not skilled enough to do, or leaving your customer in the hair drying lamp for too long. Also, watch out for when their head starts astral sparking. You know you're about to fail.

Also, failure results in baldness, and awkward questions like "Why are sparks shooting out of my head?"
