i agree with you on this, granted i am always excited to see something new posted on lodestone regarding any updates but i'm in no means ranting and raving because SE hasn't showered me with information.

Me neither. It's not really the lack of information that rattles me, it's more how unclear they are. One time they say August, then they say all summer, or "soon". I understand they are busy and priorities and timing can change, but a bit more clarity would be nice.

In the end it doesn't bother me nearly as much as it does some people.

I can hear the troops designed to sweep this under the rug approaching. Quickly let's wrap up the promo convo before it's too late! I'll throw a challenge to SE to show us stuff that's impressive to anyone.

The screenshots/videos should make a point clearly that this is a completely new game as opposed to the one they remember from the reviews.

I'd guess just more of the same (plain) plains are not going to cut it.

The "wealth of information" was promised after the E3 expo. When the teaser site was released it was just that, a tease. It was just the e3 screens and concept art all piled into one place. The only thing they've put up after that is concept art of the new starting RSE. Also 1.23 has nothing to do with 2.0 information so I have no idea why you bothered throwing that one out there.

I think it upsets people more when SE says crap like "all summer long" and then it ends up being...the last month of summer (i have no idea, just an example) vs them just being realistically honest. They have this bad track record of hyping stuff up and then turns out it was not worth the hype...at all. At least that was my experience in XI.

I loved XI but they would hype up the new stuff a LOT then when it was released it would not live up to its hype. Like the new avatars for example...summoners were waiting for years (literally, yes) for new avatars....then they announced what..in 06 (idk for sure, im probably wrong) that we would be getting some. FINALLY 09 comes around and we get them and then apparently we can only summon them with our 2 hr...yeah big let down. So anyway...SE need to stop this crap with the lets try to hype then disappoint lol.

To be fair though Odin and Alexander completely changed quite a lot of content, Absolute Virtue for one. Their power was way too strong (based on SMN) to be natural avatars just like Atomos clearly was (only Cait Sith will be coming this year.)

So like I said, I think the main problem is they're holding out for something big rather than stuff overtime regarding 2.0, it's not hard to snap more screenshots or take a quick video of making an ugly male miqote. They did it 1-2 months before release of 1.x, so...

Sorry for the use of bad word.. but this is getting a little ridiculous. SHUN YOU SE FOR SAYING "All summer long" when they specifically said from Yoshida's Mouth that they are flooding the information on the Promotional Campaign which is less than 1 month from now.
