Well not necessarily dead. If looked at in the long run, right now and post 2.0, it can be looked at as a small event, not true end game content. I don't see it getting widely popular though like Hamlet did.
Limsa getting the new PVP Colliseum in 2.0 I think.
Hey, I go to Limsa all the time. Then again, I'm a cook and alchemist. So I have to go there for some of my ingredients rather frequently. It's sort of like going to Costco, though.
Hamlet is not popular because it's fun. Hamlet is popular because it's the gateway to getting the best weapons in the game.
Kinda like how you did just now?

Hi there,
The Development team confirmed to me that the rate to get the rewards in skirmishes is gonna be higher than the rate in other endgame activities (like dungeon and primals).
Weapons are the only rewards from Skirmishes, and are targeted to those players who can't beat Garuda.
My statement still stands. You assume it'll be dead on arrival and it probably won't be. As a matter of fact, from how the community is it will probably become some of the more popular weapons used seeing as it's easy to get with a good drop rate.
There are more people who can't beat or won't try Garuda than there are who have weapons already.
Apology accepted. My statement still stands. You assume it'll be dead on arrival and it probably won't be. As a matter of fact, from how the community is it will probably become some of the more popular weapons used seeing as it's easy to get with a good drop rate.

Where did you get that Pvp is going to be "based" in LL? I'm pretty sure there's going to be more than one place for PvP events, and I don't really recall any specific place being specified as of yet.
What makes you say that? a LOT of people haven't been able to beat garuda. It's not a walk in the park and you need to be well geared If anything, there will be less people doing garuda because there will be an easier alternative.Skirmish was designed for people who can't/didn't beat Garuda. Making it dead on arrival.
That being said, I'd wish they'd give some more attention to gear categories with less variety, like DOH/DOL secondary tools, many types of armor, earrings, and more. Then there's that "pack" slot that still has a grand total of 0 items that can be placed in it.
