Has any non-jp party defeated garuda post blmburn nerf?

Hey it is not what I experienced...I was in the right place at the right time. Latency lag from the server really is no issue if you are familiar with the fight.

It is my friend who has lag issues. And umm..its not latency...he has a celeron processor on a laptop lolz my cellphone has a better processor then that. So yeh that was why he keeps dying. Doesn't want to come back until he gets a new PC. ^_^; We would have to wait a good 30 seconds each fight for him to load. He still did really good though, would parse up to 20k on his BLM.

The fight does not seem THAT hard tbh...

Thanks for bringing up this point also , another thing to do to reduce lag/latency is to reduce your settings, I was playing everything on max, and when I started Av 17 min speed runs, I noticed even entering I was behind a few secs.. I lowered it to 8 (standard across the board ) and I noticed a HUGE increase in my responsiveness when using abils and dodging..

So try lowering your settings, it will help.

Oh yes I have lowered mine a bit and game runs great now! No lag at all for me. Hehe as for my friend...haha he ran it on lowest of the lowest but with a celeron there is no hope. Heck, I tried to run FFXI on lowest settings with a celeron (back in the day) and it ran horribly lol probably for the best that he waits for his new pc

Timing with the "latency" issue is easy honestly. Like you said in your previous post..if you get hit by eruption it is because they were doing a buff or got stuck in animation lock. It is easy for me to time my spells/buffs etc with ifrits TP moves. Once people get it down its easy

It can be done easily.

Hehe when you say easy..you mean like can you do it naked/bikini like Ifrit can be done, easily? No melds, full AF type fight, no darklight..etc?

Yup...that is why I was asking him did he really did beat it "easily" meaning, can do it with no gear, kinda can half pay attention and still win like Ifrit. Ifrit..is easy. But when people have double melds and dark light that is not exactly easily. Its not extremely hard like AV hard...but its not what I would tell someone, "Oh Garuda!?? haha its a joke! anyone can do it, so easy!" ._.

I'm on the CC part of the relic and will be on Ifrit Extreme soon and I still won't be using latency as a excuse if I die... its all about learning there moves and anticipating when they will do them... NA's have already beat Ifrit Extreme so your point is invalid.. fights are scripted and once you learn the routine of the fight and practice it becomes a ton easier.. but hey you want to keep blaming latency then do it..

It's as if... memorizing a pre-scripted pattern and moving regardless of what you see on the screen, is a good mechanic for fighting battles.

To everyone here saying "stop blaming the lag for your lack of skills", grow up. Anyways, this was just a way for me to vent and let the developers know that this makes me mad. And to let them know I better not see anything remotely like this in 2.0.

Just to make myself clear, i and everyone else ive been in garuda parties with have messed up their fair share. But sometimes there are those golden runs where lag by a fraction of a section can totally demolish our entire run.
