Probably one of the best idea around. I can see few issues arises but good basic concept overall.

Thank you, yeah it can't be implemented easily, needs to be studied to see how much it would effect areas with multiple parties + how to not allow RMT to exploit it, among many things. But if it can be done, then it would be an amazing upgrade to the party system.
Bumping; come on, it's tents, it's for parties, it links to many, many other opportunities...
It would be nice to be able to put tents up when everyone is taking a break, when you're in the camp no monsters would target you. It would also be nice to do it when multiple people need to recover from weakness. I like this idea.
This idea has WIN written all over it. This may even keep traditional pulling camps alive for those that want it, alongside the upcoming quest-chained system.
Kudos on the choice of imagery too OP.
I love and support this idea. Very well thought out FF concept to be used in XIV.

Thanks, I totally agree that this will keep the traditional pulling camps alive.
I love these parties, in every single one of them you get to befriend new people and plan for future parties together. So improving this party system is a must.
Thanks. ^^
Cool idea but, I really have a feeling SE is trying to step away from players and parties excluding each other like this. It won't help with people stealing camps all it does is open your party to being ganked/mpk'd on your spawn point...
I think it might be more possible to set-up camps like the ones that we have already.
Have a burned out campfire as a marker for the camp. Use a tent and voila the camp through a short cutscene (this could be really cool) and bam, you have a mini camp with a home point and a place to restore HP/MP. Limit the home point to the party of who ever setup the camp, but allow any player to visit and restore their HP/MP.
Done this way it would be a great place to interact with other players in the open world.
(Not trying to steal your thunder, just offering another point of view)
You make a good point too. The goal should be to lean more towards random ways to come across other players by putting up a safe haven/camp/flag for anybody passing through, simultaneously offering a temporary bonus to them for sitting by the fire and recharging/resting for a bit. From there, parties and friendships could form. It could also be a good place for any local cooks to make and sell some of their food, as well as a place to offer/receive repairs. The camps themselves should timeout after a certain amount of time to avoid (forgive the pun) "camping" vital spots on the map.Cool idea but, I really have a feeling SE is trying to step away from players and parties excluding each other like this. In Tera, players can hold "campfires" in their inventories as items and place them anywhere in the field, allowing for anybody in proximity to regain their Stamina gauge back to full along with bonus percentages. Something similar to this, but with more social features would be fantastic.
Camps and Tents could even be separate ideas:
A Tent Item (includes one tent and campfire) could be something a solo player could setup anywhere to regain HP/MP while simultaneously offering proximity heals to players nearby.
Camps could be something that forms when 2-3 or more other players also choose to use their tents in proximity to yours (a message could pop up asking "Do you want to join or form a camp with this player?" when they use their tent near yours) naturally forming an official campsite with stat bonuses, temporary home point, and bazaar access (not to mention HP/MP regen) similar to how light parties and full parties are activated. Each player's tent will have its own timer, but as long as any player's tent is still active, the campfire will stay in place for HP/MP regen purposes and only "camp status" will change.
If a player logs out while in a tent or camp, he/she could get exp bonus (just like your inn/home) next time they log back in and they can continue right from where they left off before.
