In-game marriage, will it make a return?

This was a really nice touch in SE's previous MMO. I remember waking up Sunday morning, logging in to my computer, because I was late to attend a wedding in Sandoria. My brother asked me what I was doing waking up so early, I said, I have a wedding to go to. And my date was already waiting by East Ronfaure forest! She was like, "why are you late?? I can't walk in without you!" We both walked in when the ceremony already started and it was embarassing.

Will it make a come-back? I want to attend more in-game weddings.

Oh god... As nice as it would be, the booking/costs of weddings in XI made me stay away from it.

My initial reaction was "god, I hope not, how stupid that was"; then my second thought was "well, it didn't affect me, so if people want it, that's fine." Not gunna judge.

I think its a nice idea Just hope they implement it differently this time so more people can get the chance to participate! Also maybe we could get some cool benefit to it like..being able to teleport to our partner?

Definitely needs some sort of "merging" of characters. I always felt that they should reside in the same mog, be able to share inventory/gil, perhaps be able to have NPC offspring together (sort of like chocobo raising in XI), and I do like your teleport idea too! If it was more realistic, it might not be so pointless and dumb to me.

I really hope the system makes a return, I've always regretted not having the chance to marry my husband in FFXI. We share the same last name in FFXIV but it would be nice to have a proper ceremony and some sort of benefit along with it.

Also the opaline dress was so pretty, I hope they come back too.
