    Don't understand why we can't have everything....

    Despite the OP's wall of text, he nailed it from top to bottom.
    • You need to travel to the instanced entrance once first (before you can use the content finder for this)
    • Gatherer content would be 95% open world (5% instanced during hamlet)
    • Primal is 67% open world (only the fight is instanced. You need to find and claim it first)
    • Quests would be open world
    • Leveling would be open world
    • Chocobo caravan, Behest, Leves are open world
    • Achievements would be mostly open world
    • Farming is open world
    • More things we know nothing about would be open world
