well hard to say what needs to be done for 1.23 im guessing Castrom Novum (sp?) might need to be completed so I would aim for that, also getting your MNK fully unlocked is a must. To do this you may need to venture into darkhold to either clear the quest to unlock AV or might need to get a piece of your AF in there (cant remember been a while since I did MNK).

Yeah. The "live" story is mostly the current grand company quests (the main scenario is kind of an "introduction" of sorts).

As far as content goes, no one really knows exactly what will change, what will stay the same, and what will go away forever in 2.0. All we know for sure at the moment is the Wandering Minstrel at Red Rooster Stead will disappear when 1.23 goes live, so if you haven't talked to him and received your Goobbue mount yet, you've got a few weeks left to do that.
