Hamlet Defense 67000 point Video Guide - White Mage

This is a little late to the party but here is a how-to video for White Mage in Hamlet. It walks you through the basics of playing White Mage in Hamlet Defense. Though this strategy is just one part of the puzzle, with it you can get the top rewards in Hamlet even without a provisioner present.

Save your NPCs' lives! Watch a Hamlet Defense video today.

I have yet to do Hamlet Defense, so this was very helpful to me. Nicely explained.

If it's the chat you're worried about, you can't really make out what people are saying.

Nice guide Neptune, this is exactly how we run our WHMs, only we run with 2 in order to go for Defense buffs.

Hamlet is an interesting event, it's pretty much set up in which 4 groups of 2/3/2/1 work together towards the same goal, if one of those groups falls behind the rest of the run will fall apart with it.

    Generic Setup used:
    WHM=2
    DOL=2
    DOH=3
    WAR/PLD=1

    WHM
In all 3 zones the duty of a WHM is pretty much the same, have one setup between the front/middle line and the other setup in the middle/backline.
-When preparing the SS/Protect the Frontline mage should focus on the Front while the backline mage should first focus on the middle. Since the Front mage will be dealing with more damage being dealt the backline mage can use that time to buff both the middle/backline to alleviate the amount of damage taken. The reason why you want to try and get all the middle/backline NPCs buffed is because the DOL/DOH will most likely draw the mobs into the range of those mobs which means they are open to taken dmg.
-Curing should always go Regen-Cure-Cura, Regen is such a cheap spell when there is only on mob on an NPC and they have 90% HP left you can usually restore all their HP with just a Regen and SS.
-Keep an eye on fellow DOL/DOH, when it comes to DOH don't feel like you need to cure them, even if they have 50% HP left if they are back in the crafting area crafting they'll most likely rest back that HP. DOL on the otherhand will need regen support which should be enough to restore all the dmg they've taken
-On the flipside always keep an eye out for DOTs on a DOH, when they have DOTs they are unable to craft but a DOL can continue to do their task with a DOT on them.
-When the boss arrives be sure that only one mage goes to the cart that is under attack, they can protect the NPC til enough DOL/DOH do turn ins to cause the mobs to get off said Cart. The reason why this is safer is because when a mob is ordered to go to said cart the enmity they held is only temporarily suppressed. If a DOH/DOL do an enmity/order reset then those mobs will go back to their original targets which could cause issues if a DOH ends up getting attacked mid-craft. Said issue can lead top no active buffs being on the NPCs which make them squishier and cause the mages to use up more MP then needed.
-Pretty much last task is when you only see 2-3 mobs left in the last wave and are about to die make your way towards the Zombie Mage just in case the Melee isn't in range at the time from kiting the boss.
    Special Note:
-In LL Hamlet things may feel hectic as bombs are flying around and NPCs are losing HP in chunks, usually in LL you can't keep everyone's HP in check so it's always best to prioritize the Cures with the NPCs that have the most mobs on them while you regen the NPCs that have the least amount of mobs on them.
-LL can also be the most hectic because of all the DOTs that can go on a target. Up to 3 enfeebles can be on a fellow player 2 of which are DOTS. You have to be really careful with how you use Esuna since it is a costly Spell a little over 100 a cast I believe, plus the recast is slightly long at 10 seconds you should always try to communicate with the DOH that is currently enfeebled before using Esuna. If you see them with 3 enfeebles figure out if their lowest one is under 10 seconds duration, if it is you're better off waiting then using said Esuna to remove one of the other 2.

    Melee:
-Main task of a melee usually a PLD/WAR is to defeat the 3 special mobs and kite the boss.
-First mob will always appear during but slighlty before the first wave
-Once defeated a Melee can usually just widdle down mobs but not kill them til second mob arrives
-While using voke to draw mobs off DOL/DOH might sound like a good idea the HP you have compared to the NPCs makes you look squishier and thus harder to actually take the hits from a mob
-When widdling down a mob always target a mob that has under 75% but over 25% HP since the NPCs do have powerful Weaponskills that can take a chunk of HP off the target.
-You can use WS on the Beastmen but always keep in mind of the above you gain more points when the NPC lands the killing blow so be sure not to deal to much damage.
-Around the 22-20:00 mark the 2nd mob will appear which always appears near the gate. In Grida's case the wolf appears just outside the gate, the LL Bomb appears near the water by the gate and the Drake in Ulda appears practically in between the gate.
-Try and dispose of said monster as swiftly as possible since the boss appears around that time about a minute later. Claim hat on them and draw them away from the archers so that they don't die to early
--You can however try another strategy in which the Boss stays on a cart for the duration of the battle which makes the job slightly tougher for the WHM since not only is their one more mob on the Cart but they dmg they do is a bit greater than what the normal beastmen can do
-If using the Kiting method try to find a place in which the Boss won't be hit by a lot of archers, in Grida's case it's easy since theirs a tree at the start in which you can play ring around the rosie with til it's time for the zombie mage to spawn however I"m not exactly sure where the best places for Uld/LL are since there aren't really any great areas to kite them in from what I've seen.
-Then of course as the last few mobs are about to die head to the spot in which you fight the Zombie Mage, dispatch them asap and then bring the Boss over to the NPCs to kill it

    DOL:
-Main task is to gather 3 of one color to perform an enfeeble on the Beastmen
    --Red=ATT down
    --Blue=DoT
    --Green=Sleep (Short duration)
    --One of Each=Enmity/Order Reset
-The Main Strategy is to go R-B-R-B-RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR til the last of the 3 special beastmen are dead. The reason it's done like this is because the special beastmen need to be killed by the arches if they are killed by the DoT then the zombie mage won't appear at the end which gives 5k points and at a lv 2 that's 10k points which is pretty much a large chunk of what is needed to gain 60k+
-Think to keep in mind when DOL is the following:
--When grabbing for a color near the mob they will aggro you so always be patient when grabbing colors.
--The person to turn in the 3rd color for the combo will always draw 2 mobs on them so be sure to run towards the archers after last turn in
--When you do draw mobs to the archers always try to get a 1-1 ratio aka don't try and put a beastmen in between 2 or even 3 archers since it will make it harder for other DOL/DOH to get mobs off them
--Even if all the archers currently have target always keep an eye on the hate you currently have with the 2 beastmen on you and whenever a turn in is made recheck to see if they still hate you. Whenever a enfeeble/Buff is made there is a chance that one or both mobs will go after a new target
--Also with the above in mind look at Beastmen with the lowest amount of HP, if you see a beastmen that's about to die then just stand still and be patient. As soon as said Beastmen is defeated the archers will automatically go after the closest target
-When the last special mob is dispatched it is safe to start using Blue again but be sure to keep an eye on the boss since it can drain their HP quite a bit to.
-When the last of the mobs are dispatched and the mages/melee are focusing on the zombie mage it's best to go for the all 3 at once bonus Red combo then Blue combo then Green Combo. Then you can also do the reset combo.

    DOH:
-They have 3 Buffs and 1 hate reset which they can grab and it's pretty straightforward on the menu when clicking the box
-The main strategy is to have 2 DOH focus on ATT up and the other DOH focus on DEF up
--When it comes to which DOH do what be sure that the DOH with the most "Advanced progress" are on DEF up so that they can breeze through the synth. While it's recommended that all DOH have a good amount of "Advanced" progress you can get away with at least one DOH doing ATT up not having it
-Pretty much follow the same strategy above when it comes to dealing with mobs
-Then as with DOL near the end of said battle when the mages/melee are dealing with the Zombie mage go for the ATT/DEF/REGEN combo and be sure to turn it in in that order since the duration on regen is very low.
-Other then that the box also has the same aggro drawing like the pots the DOL gather so if you grab a material near a mob they will aggro you, this is mainly only an issue with LL but can be an issue with the other 2 areas if a player brings a mob near the boss
    -----------

Think this fills in the other pieces missing, I might be missing some little pieces of information but overall this is the main idea behind Hamlet. As long as you know your class's task the event is easy, but if one person is confused then it all falls apart. Whenever someone does Hamlet for the first time always speak up that you haven't done it yet, it's really easy to explain and once you're inside for the first few minutes you can easily pickup what to do.

The guide here shows the positions of the Special mobs the tank has to kill as well as the weapons the special beastmen use so always keep an eye on those when doing Hamlet.

Great guide! I'm not sure if I'm the only one but your post makes it seems as if you can get that score (67k) without a top 20. Perhaps I'm just failing at reading today.

Subtract 6k from that, so 61k is what you would get without a top20. And you need 60k to get your top coffer, at rank 2.
