i don't like how it can't be done with pick ups. I dont do static's because I like meeting and playing with new people. They can keep it difficult but make it so I can log in, make a quick group and do stuff. :/

It can be done with pickups. It's not a gear check fight and it's not even that tough of a fight. It's sad the community took the cheap way out with this fight instead of learning how to actually beat it. I'm not sure why people ask for tough fights then turn around and cry when they get one lol.

No it can't. What's to learn? Watch the you tube videos. You need to know how to play. Period. Plus you need to have decent gear. That's all there is. Your talk of step by step is just a way to lie to yourself. Oh we died 9999x for AF, ohh we manage to pass it now(by luck) ohh we died again 9999 for AF, /party disband. Skill, that's all there is. I never said there isn't. I said that everyone need to know how to play. If you get a pick up with 8 knowing, go play the mega millions. You own it.

I did Garuda a lot with pick ups. Before blm and after.

Before. Not enough dps. Ppl gear sucked and couldn't dmg it fast.

After, one archer suck, ppl can't handle plumes, whm suck, can't heal tank, archers can't buff, ppl getting hit by everything, can't hide behind pillar and get hit, some tards running and attacking Garuda BEFORE tank gets agro, which makes you /disband right away. That's what you get doing pick up groups. Same shit with hamlet. Can't be done without skills and coordination, and gear (don't apply for hamlet).

I think decent gear is needed. Or at least a good combination of gear. Sure you can do all the attacks that you want but there's a limit on how much you can do on skill alone.

If your blm can't dmg Garuda hard enough you will get owned by phase after af. So yes, you need gear. Unless you get luck. If you dmg is high, you can skip phases and kill Garuda with clones alive the second time they show up.

This. Very few parties can last against two clones phases. After astral flow, the main thing is to keep high, consistent damage up so she can't and pray she doesn't use her clones.

This is to the people coming in and reading these type of post. Please ignore the post whining about gear or dps check or anything that stuff. It's just people whining cause they either aren't skilled enough or are using terrible strats. Garuda is not a dps check and it's not a gear check or anything that stuff. Basically people are just venting on the forums hoping that someone will spoon feed them better strats cause they can't figure it out themselves. I do hope SE puts in tougher fights just so i can watch these noobs come cry on the forums about it being to hard
