    Yeah, that's more of a TP calculation problem rather than mob problem. Instead of doing the smart thing and readjusting the calculation of it, especially under leve regards, they rather just blanket nerf a mob for no reason D:

    Tonberry Primal...??? Would be cool.

    Is there any back story to Tonberrys in FF?

    In FFXI.. I think they were beastmen but didnt have any real role but maybe... as assassin's.

    In XI tonberries were what became of the Kuluu (mostly), so they're essentially beastmen as they're not just mindless monsters, they have a society and were actually people during history at one point in time. (iirc, been 7 years since I did Zilart's storyline.)

    They serve no true purpose, not even the Cryptonberries in the story aside being spirtual protectors, which is why most of the higher Tonberries/Cryptonberries are Summoners.

    Yeah, if you read the whole Toneberry backstory in FFXI, it was really depressing. They're the remnant of the Kuluu civilization which was also responsible for many (though not all, the Zilart had their hands in there too) of the landmarks throughout FFXI.

    From what I remember in FF8 (its been a long time tho), you found Tonberry in an evil tower like area. Could be put in Mor Dhona region maybe. Regardless more classic FF monsters are welcome, these guys are definitely in a top spot!

    However they're implemented, once they're aggro'd they need to have a countdown timer to "Donk!"
