Quoted for truth (imo)! Please make the (leveling-)journey to levelcap more interesting and with way more stuff to go to and do instead of letting us rush to cap and repeating the same few endgame contents again and again..Would have prefered more mid level activities to make the journey more interesting. Could have sworn they said they where making it harder but I guess they changed their minds.
All this focus on endgame content makes me wonder why we even have traditional leveling in the first place.
Because that competitiveness should be discouraged on every possible angle of the PVE element. It should be heavily discouraged to the point of it being uncouth to mention such a competition.
Final Fantasy has always been about cooperation and comradely between people within it's umbrella, not the type of attitude and mindset that drives the community apart.
You get enough competition in PVE as it is with the gear divide between those who successfully raid regularly and those who do not. Any further desires for wanting to feel 'on top' should be regulated strictly to PVP, in my view, where that sort of competitive feel will have a proper venue. (And the incessant bragging can be properly retorted by a Tundaga.)
Again, there is no real reason to increase the leveling grind. Leveling grind is just a time inhibitor for endgame content. The only feeling of progression that should limit the advancement of players as far as leveling goes, is for progression within the game's story. - and we'll have to see in 2.0 if the pacing is good with the new story coming in.

It's a mistranslation because you completely ignored the meaning of でも and the statement is very misleading in English when it needn't be.again.... http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...l=1#post740686
either way now or 2.0 it's easy to 50.... so how is it mistranslation???
Probably ppl saying mistranslation because op put "FASTER" leveling in title...
It's actually same as it is just now... I'm guessing OP wanted to say in 2.0 leveling is as fast as now... not faster.
Instead of people copying one line of text should copy the whole paragraph I translated...

#2 is the definition that applies in this context, which should be properly translated as 'even' period.
Even in 2.0.

短期間で - Tankikan de - in short term
50になれる - 50 ni nareru - become 50
Anyways who is going to think leveling will be FASTER in the first place... it's already fast enough as is so was guess everyone got it... I will update my original translation to add the EVEN/ALSO...

20% of those polled are a significant number of people who don't like the fast level.
Unfortunately, 50% is a significant-er number of people who do like it.
The Ayes have it.
