Customers Currently on the 90-Day (or 180-Day) Subscription Plan

First, they aren't changing to 30 day policy cause of the upcoming beta. They are changing cause we now get the legacy discount instead. I admit it is kind of lame that they didn't announce this along with the legacy stuff so we knew what kind of deal we were actually getting in the end.

Last thing is I really doubt they will bring back the 90 or 180 day payment option back after 2.0. It would make no sense to shut it down now just to reopen it for 2.0. The people saying they are doing this cause "so we don't get charged in beta" make my head hurt. You won't get charged in beta regardless of what payment plan you are on.

It's just epic bad PR on their part that they are sort of throwing this out in the middle of the scramble of last minute joiners as if it had something to do with Legacy.

Anyone know if the Legacy prices for 30 days are live now or are going to be used after the 1st? Not bothered to switch my sub yet off of 180 day and lack motivation now to do it before next billing in a few days time.

What I want to know is why the option for 90 day billing was removed to begin with?

I actually prefer games to have that option because I can pay it in one bulk sum and not worry about it.

If anything I would have preferred if they gave us the option to pay for 90 days, to half a year, to even a year. This games as well as FFXI should both have the option to pay in advance.

I'm sorry if this question was already answered but yeah, just wondering why they would do that. =/

Those long paytime plans are being removed so that we neither cannot accidentally pay for a time we cannot play at or that is not being billed.
This whole system is automated, if the option is still there, the automated system will STILL charge us during the period we would not ordinarily have to pay, the easiest and fastest solution is to simply remove that offending payment plans.

There is no reason to imagine that they would not reinstate those plans later. But if you think they won't, then do please tell me why you think they won't.

So I am supposed to be happy that SE is upselling me? LOL. It's pretty much what my cell phone carrier did when they doubled my data allotment (that I never use up) along with bumping up the price.

This is nothing but a price increase of $2 no matter how it's sliced. Which would work out to 2 "free" months in a year.

Well, I certainly hope they reinstate the plans later.

The reason I thought they had removed them permanently is because this is SE and I've been around long enough to know that they make some rather dumb decisions.
