If this is true, can I get some leveling guides? because I can't do it on my own, I've been trying for a while.

There are leveling guides in most of the crafting sub forums.

And do try to raise the quality as much as possible during your synth. You get quite a bit more EXP that way. Using your Rested Bonus, Company Engineering Manuals, and food also helps.
