I think I would rather see a system similar to EverQuest 2's crafting. Where each crafting skill is in response to a specific event, either increasing progress, durability or quality.

/nod agree with you that other threads OP linked to the video with specific time set on the URL but at the same time try look at the date/time OP started the threads. The other person started today, as this thread started yesterday.There's been another thread about this.

That's one problem on the NA threads I see a lot... one topic, 10+ threads (in this case 2 so far)

The question does remain, though. Motion control wouldn't mix with XIV. Still there are some interesting things. Like the fact characters in that game can jump and I don't see people on the youtube video raging over it...
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

We're glad to see that the enjoyment that you have experienced in other Square Enix titles inspired you to come up with ideas to help improve Final Fantasy XIV. Dragon Quest X is a personal favorite of mine, and the suggestions that you have brought up have been great! Unfortunately, since the focus of the conversation does deviate a bit from FFXIV, the thread will have to be closed.
