Nothing, but your OP makes it sound as though you think they ARE changing it.
and I would disagree that it needs any major changes. Anima is fine the way it is, there now exists a way to get more as a reward from an activity. I don't feel there's any excuse for running out of anima.
The one change I could get on board with is preventing players from being teleported to places they've never been. It's kind of lame that the first players had to visit every single place on foot but players coming in after them can get teleported there and unlock it for themselves without any effort.
I want the teleport and return in the game, but I also like the boat travel & the airship and if possible I also like NPC chocobo ride like in the uldah opening when you first start. So to say it short, I want teleport & return but at a limit rate and not 100 anima atm, I am ok with unlimit return to inn, but return to a city (as the main return) is limit as well
edit: limit teleport like: player have 2 token/daily by talk to an NPC (max is 2) and need to talk to a NPC in city to be able to teleport
Nowhere in my post do I say they are changing it. I do however go on to say that after the tutorial and initial quest to obtain the teleport functionality that there should be another system in place to get the new nodes.
I think it should be removed completely, force everyone to use airships, trains and chocobos.
If there was a network of railroads that could take you more or less anywhere maybe 4-5 times faster than a chocobo, I wouldn't mind.
I think that teleportion should come late in the story line. I think the FFXIV modes of travel should progress as follows:
Start on foot
get a chocobo
get some other cool mount
air ship access
teleport lastly.
We need mind blowing lore connected to teleportation. In a world where people begin admiring the people riding around on giant yellow chickens, teleportation should be achieved when your character has earned a god-like status, or discovered gods own form of transportation dormant and needs to reactivate it somehow.
Currently, teleportation is handed out; it cheapens the value of Eorzea to that of thin used tissue paper. Geographic progression of any RPG is so very important; don't cheapen it with hand outs or simplistic lore.
What a Load of bs. That's why you have RPGs single player experience. You forget that MMO need people to make it work. I don't want to wait 3 hours to form a party because they have to walk from point A to B. these cheap this cheap that bulls is starting to piss me off. If you love the lore, walk yourself! Don't force others with limited time to do whatever you think isn't cheap!I think that teleportion should come late in the story line. I think the FFXIV modes of travel should progress as follows:
Start on foot
get a chocobo
get some other cool mount
air ship access
teleport lastly.
