    Its not uncommon for people in a game company to work on multiple titles at once, especially in designer & producer roles.

    I can only imagine the stress he endured while making FFXIV and an expansion for FFXI at the same time with mostly the same team.

    No was not his fault he even said in one interview that he needed more time like about 1+year more i think he also said that he could not get the time needed.

    From that interview on he had someone else with him doing interview i think so he does not say something he should not but that just me picking at that all this happen around 2009.

    We will probably never know, I don't remember him saying anything about this in an interview, but he did look quite depressed when I saw him at gamescom before release. Probably someone from the management forced the release.

    Anyway, even IF he was the one who rushed the release, it's not a reason to wish him bad. I hope those health reasons are not too grave and he gets better soon.
