R.RING: Explorer's Ring / Electrum Ring +1 (see below)

Foods: Smoked Raptor (attack+41) / Mugwort Carp (accuracy+24)

Relevant stat totals: STR 345 / VIT 312 / Attack 536 / Accuracy 380 (while solo)

I'm currently using the following~

Weapon: Ifrit's axe
Head: Darklight helm
Body: Darksteel Haubergeon (Piety meld use it for drg, will most likely get one melded with Savage might when I get the gil)
Hands: Triple meld Fingerless Raptorskin gloves of Slaying (str +35, it's a weak tri meld but, yeah)
legs: Fighter's trousers
Feet: Darklight sollerets
Waist: Veteran's Field belt
Earring: Explorer's Earring
Neck: Electrum gorget +1
Wrists: Rubellite bracelets
Rings: Rubellite +1 / Amber +1


But this is off the top of my head; 353 Str and 307 Vit, with roughly 358 acc using an ifrit's axe.
It's lacking in acc, however I am currently working towards a serpent lieutenants Bardiche, and will purchase an explorer's choker when wallet permits.

Food would be salt cod puffs or mugwort carp.

I haven't beaten Garuda. We made a conscious decision not to do the BLM exploit, and have been focusing our attention elsewhere for the most part.

You've got a point here, but with addition of the new GC axe's you've also got no excuse. instead of spamming primals to maybe get a drop now we all have the option of farming seals to eventually reach an very obtainable goal of 25k to grab these sexy Mofos which have a higher dps rating and in most cases base dmg than ifrits or moogle.

I've got a great excuse actually, I'd need about 75k seals to get one. I need my 25k item for the relic quest, 25k for a promotion, and another 25k for the latest gc axe. I do have other priorities. Sure, I'll buy one eventually. For now though, I can use all that VIT matera I've been getting from spritbonding Demilune Bhujes to try to get a new toy to play with.

Put your priorities in order instead of working on several things at once. Can always use that VIT materia to double meld a body too.

Usually I eat Smoked Raptor, bringing my Totals to 378 STR 348 VIT. Accuracy is a bit low so for most encounters I do wear 1 Electrum ring +1 (and explorers choker or acc food on rare occasions)

I was referring to the primal weapon remark. Kuma's making shit up.


Also, I ended up getting the explorer's moccasins. I've gotta say, I really like them too. Fighting level 50-52 amaljaa and while not using any skills to increase crit rate, my crit rate was just over 16%. In other (real world) scenarios, caravan escort etc, I've been able to get my crit rate over 30% and be the top DD in the party. Yeah, my crit build f'ing rocks so far. It will only get better when I add more crit attack power and more STR and VIT.
