Can we please remove the RMT's?

If a botter sells gil for money and nobody is there to see the transaction happen, has the botter carried out RMT?

First of all, I don't think (based on what I see them do) they actually use bots. They just share an assload of leves and let one person complete them while the others sit there and rank up.

Second of all, that's a rhetorical question, a crime is a crime regardless.

You will never get rid of RMT, a major part of how horrible FFXIV release was, was because SE went out of their way to try and stop RMT....... Dint work out, let them be.

1 thing i always gotta point out about these mass groups at the camps

until they have actualy broken the rule, they cant be banned

also i got a feeling they are tracking them to see who all their in game contacts are(whos holding the gil, who they use to transfer it etc etc) so they can get a nice big list and nail them all at once when the game goes to 2.0

a bit curious what a call to a gm could possibly do though

lets say you get hold of one

you tell them there are RMT at camp xxx

they ask you, how do you know they are rmt?

all you have going for you is their names.......and the fact they are always doing leves


proof of RMT requires that they are actualy trying to sell you gil in some form or another, which i dont think they are doing at all. "yet"

and thats a huge issue when it comes to enforcing anything, if they arent actualy selling gil or doing anything which can prove they are selling it, then the company will not take action against it.


"but i know they are rmt" is not proof, and you cant take action always based on assumptions and what people believe to be true, you go off facts.


i can go ahead and claim everyone who does hamlet and does turnins is a botter, does that means im right and they should all be banned? no it doesnt. does it mean they arent botting? no, it doesnt mean that either, some may be, some might not be. you cant tell just because you feel they are doing it. there is no proof.

the same goes for these supposed rmt, even though you feel they are rmt, doesnt mean they are. sure they might be, but one way or another there is no actual proof yet. and at the end of the day, some of them might actualy not be rmt, which others might be.

to demand action, is rediculous, just report them, get them on the radar, and when they get what they need to take action, they will do it.

We were down in Copperbell Mines when a couple members from the Linkshell TMD came down and started trying to MPK our members, if we got mobs they would bring bombs to our location and try to mpk us.

Please help the FFXIV community by ridding ourselves of RMT, we'll make Eorzea a better place.

Wait I'm not seeing the evidence of an RMT here. Just because someone tries to MPK you (intentionally, from what your post insinuates) doesn't mean they are RMT. In fact, based on what you said, they really wouldn't be RMT - just jerks.

Also they have active accounts, i seriously doubt SE is gonna straight up ban the RMT, just because, Gil is not an issue in this game, so is not a glaring problem, and they are getting paid.

Now if they had 70x the subs they currently have, then i would consider they would.
