2.0 is not only an overhaul but also an expansion in itself. When it's released it won't be the same game with the same content. It'll be a completely unique experience from 1.0 that'll offer a lot of new content as well as some familiar content. At least from what I've read that's what they want to do upon releasing 2.0. They want to give players enough content to play around with so it will feel more like an expansion and less like just an overhaul.Let's see:
-More content to an already overflowing amount of content.
-New jobs (XIV still has yet to even release new ones that weren't an extension of old.)
-New storyline and exploration of an already large world.
2.0 is an overhaul, XI's new expansion is an extension to the world and lore. The only excitement for 2.0 is that it'll finally (hopefully) fix what's wrong with the game. People will be equally excited when they release an expansion to XIV too.
Said Geomancer art btw.
I think the main appeal to 2.0 is that it's moving to a new client and server infrastructure, any content additions will be nice as long as they do take into consideration some current issues with content. The only content we know of in 2.0 is the Crystal Tower which may or may not come at release, the new content slated for 2.0 is probably a ways off sadly.2.0 is not only an overhaul but also an expansion in itself. Pretty cool ;o I am more excited for 2.0 and future of XIV however. Hehe I quit FFXI in October 2011 and played since its release...it was fun game while it lasted![]()
I was just expressing my curiosity for Geomancer coming to Eorzea
If it's at minimum like how they plan XI's it would be a good class/job as long as people stop excluding jobs from content for absolutely no reason lol. For now we know
Facing x side of monster (North iirc) = More magic attack power
Facing East/West = Reduced Recast timers
Facing East/West = More potent buffs? (If I read that correctly, mighta been magic accuracy)
Facing South = Reduced cast times.
It would fit well in XIV where some encounters have you moving about like Ifrit/Chim/Garuda.
i guess SE decided to keep FFXI, i remember way back before WOTG came out they said it was gonna be the last expansion.
??? job = mystic im thinking
