I just don't understand why they say "soon" and not "in a few weeks", or "in a few months" or "in August" or "we didn't decide yet". And I am not sure, but didn't they tell to release it at the end of the month in march?

Because should "in a few weeks" turn into "a month" people will call him a liar. And if he says "we didn't decide yet", people will find something else to complain about. Same with "soon".

Basically, it doesn't matter which time span is given, people will still complain about why it's x, not y.

Personally, I think we shouldn't expect the site for at least another 2 weeks. Mid-July to start of August seems plausible, they will start the flood of info that will reach it's peak around Gamescom.

There will be no new info until August even if the website comes up before hand. Remember, the site is to pull in new people and people who never played XIV or hasn't since 2010..he said it's going to largely be a rehash of old info and some new stuff for current players, which we already know will be the E3 released concept art and screenshots.

I'm still betting on August.

Yeah, but that's talking about the game itself, not the trailer. They didn't release the trailer, which is a prerendered CGI, and has nothing to do with the optimalization being talked above. They never wanted to release gameplay footage to public on E3. So yea, you're confusing people because you talk about made up things.

I'm not gonna argue with you over nothing, I said it was my bad wording that was wrong, and then I said they were talking about game play footage. I said trailer but meant game play footage, which usually most marketing sites for games tend to have, and that had nothing to do with them mentioning releasing game play footage at E3. It's a valid point as to why they may not be bringing up the 2.0 website yet because they want things to look better first before they flood us with more screenshots or videos.

I think yoshi-p should really use his words better maybe they should have said soon as possible after E3 is release. At least that better then saying soonish that right there telling 1week or 1 week in and half.
