I was laughing that this even need to be said? Was it reiterated twice for posterity, or for the stupid americans?

I was going to respond to this due to the "stupid Americans" comment, but I think the ignorance of it speaks for itself. Also, I'm not sure if you're aware, but that whiskey that you're named after is made in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

I have a friend who registered on May 30th (was still May 30th in Japan time). They are due to pay June 30th. I'm reading conflicting statements... main page says "Must pay BEFORE June 30th" but it the main page also states that "starting July 1" we will only be able to sign up for 30 day subscription periods.

Does this mean that June 30th is within the range?

The way I understand it, as long as you can switch to 90 day, it doesn't matter if the actual charge happens later.

Since the announcement seems to imply that people who have not bought any time yet must get the 90 day plan before it's removed, does this confirm that 2.0 testing will begin less than 90 days from June 30th?

Looks like to me that alpha will start at the beginning of September and run a month and then beta starts end of September beginning of October. Which is pretty much on schedule.

He had to have registered "no later than May 31". He will be able to get the 90 day and once those 90 days are up he will be swapped to 30 day.

So, what it boils down to is this. I debated buying the game, but then I saw the nice shiny Legacy Campaign banner on the site. (The Banner is STILL THERE.) I clicked it and read about all of the cool features and decided I would get in early, and score some coolness. But I am 13 days too late. My free trial ends on the 13th of next month, so my 90-day sub, and my Legacy status, along with my nice pretty chocobo... are gone. Words fail me.
