Biggs and Wedge in XIV, just a thought

So I've been thinking about some recurring characters that appear in various Final Fantasy games, and Biggs and Wedge came to mind. We haven't seen Biggs and Wedge since... what ? Final Fantasy X I think ? They've never been any real important characters, often getting killed off or simply making cameo appearances. Final Fantasy VIII is the only one I can recall where they had slightly bigger roles. But I think Final Fantasy XIV can use a Biggs and Wedge in there somewhere. Perhaps as a pair of Garlean Soldiers who don't make really good soldiers ? Or maybe some special shop owner or something ? Lol, just seems like if we can get Cid in every Final Fantasy, why not Biggs and Wedge, yeah ?

I think the problem is that SE lost the rights to use Biggs and Wedge in their games (or they got sued, not sure which), which is why we saw Wiggs and Bedge in one game recently. Granted, that could be wrong, but that is my understanding.

i think i remember them in 12, lazyass guards in some deserty area i think.. hard to remember. Had to do sonething to get past them.

Hmm, I've not heard of that situation. I know that recently, they added Biggs and Wedge in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.

Yeah, I'd love to see Biggs & Wedge in FFXIV also. They were awesome.

I haven't heard of any issues with Biggs and Wedge and Believe me George Lucas only let Mel Brooks make Spaceballs with the intent of no merchandise allowed so I doubt that is an issue with him. I wouldn't mind seeing them in all of them as well I love those two idiots

After years is actually a pretty old game. I don't recall them losing the rights to it though.

I don't see how Lucasfilm could even trademark the names Biggs and Wedge. They could probably trademark Wedge Antilles and Biggs Darklighter as a full name themselves, but not just their first name.
