You also forgot to mention the time restriction that some companies took to combat excessive gaming (By shutting down on certain hours) We don't want another incident where parents left their child unattended and their kid was killed because they left her alone to game in LUNA online.

ya i remember that one as i work w/ many korean doctors and they constantly bring up stories like this (true stories). I understand people like to play games and they are damn fun sometimes but some people just cant control there actions. Im taking a break from ff14 right now i go to the gym work some extra hours ...actually go out w/ friends and work on my other hobbys. I tried loggin into the game the otherday but only being gone 2mnths or less i feel way behind now and like i might was well just wait for 2.o at this point lol. Im really not digging all the luck based content as of late and the utter randomness of it. At least in 11 i worked hard and i got what i worked for and was pretty well guaranteed it. I did win a hauteclaire/homam body/ mythic axe in mog bananas and loads of statues.

Not that I particularly cared for Mob bananza (though I did participate when I played FFXI a little bit) but why would videogame gambling be illegal? So...it's ok to kill, maim, torture, cuss, rape (obviously most of these I'm thinking of from M rated games like Grand Theft Auto) but GAMBLING digital MONEY!? OMG

You're paying for a service (virtual) and partaking in a lotto, which adheres by certain country laws. It's mostly Europe that's the culprit and since you have to pay money constantly for the MMO, you're basically held by different rules versus selling a GTA title.

It's not that "it's ok" it's just when it comes to something you continually dump real money into, there's a different set of eyes on you.

I suppose that makes a bit of sense. It's just, I'm paying anyway, whether or not I partake in digital 'gambling'. But people have their ways of viewing things differently from others.

Oh well, honestly, I don't have many qualms about them adding or not adding lotto's. But I do look forward to what they will bring.
